Welcome to Joy
Hello, We are Pastor Steve and Kim Schmelzer. Joy is a multi-generational church committed to building strong families on principles from God’s Word.
Come on out and join us!
Why Visit Joy?
We love people.
It's a fact: Visiting a church can be intimidating. At Joy Christian Fellowship we make it our priority to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and loved.
We're close.
No matter where you live in the Rogue Valley, we're right in the center.
We're real.
From the music to the message, we have a genuine passion for God, life and family.

Pastor Steve & Kim Schmelzer
Pastor Steve and Kim Schmelzer founded Joy in August of 1982. Since that time the church has grown into a community of committed believers who are working to see God's Kingdom established and extended.
"Leading the Lost to Christ, Leading the Believers into obedience" is the mission of Joy.
Pastor Steve and Kim lead a dedicated team of elders and their wives as well as an energetic and effective staff committed to providing excellent ministry and service for the whole family.
Making sure that there is an unbroken line of faith in Jesus Christ through all generations is a strongly held value of Joy leadership as well as the congregation.
Psalm 78 says, "We will not hide them from our children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power and the wonders He has done."
The elders and staff at Joy endeavor to fulfill the Biblical requirements for elders and serve God and the congregation at Joy. The shorter Westminster catechism sums up the vision and heart of Joy as we endeavor to serve the Lord with gladness. "The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever."
